What conditions can be improved through IV therapy?

Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, and generally atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries in any vascular bed, can be improved by chelation therapy. The long-awaited TACT Trial, which was a 10 year trial funded by the NIH, showed conclusively that chelation therapy lowered risk of heart attacks and strokes, angina, and need for revascularization or hospitalization from cardiovascular disease. This is data that is rocking the mainstream medical world since it may make cardiac stents and bypasses a thing of the past. At this time, Medicare and insurance companies are not covering chelation therapy, but the weekly treatments are modestly priced and easy to administer. They can save thousands of dollars in medical expenses by just avoiding one hospitalization.

Nutrient status is the cornerstone of anti-aging medicine. Each micronutrient plays an indispensable role in promoting optimal cell function. When some cells do not function at their best, the foundation of our health is compromised, setting the stage for the development of the disease. Identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies is an important step in the long-term maintenance of optimal health. Diseases such as chronic fatigue, migraines and other chronic pain syndromes, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases are just a few ofthe diseases that respond well to IV therapy.

To detect which nutrients your body may be deficient in, we offer a comprehensive Micronutrient Lab test to determine which specific vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other micronutrients may be lacking. In addition, we check for heavy metal toxicity since toxins from our environment can impair many bodily functions on the cellular level.

During intravenous therapy or IV therapy, liquid substances such as chelation agents like disodium EDTA, or vitamins are administered directly into a vein.

  • IV therapy is the most direct and rapid method of delivering vitamins, minerals, and other natural substances directly into the patient’s bloodstream.
  • IV nutrition bypasses the digestive tract where many nutrients may be partially or fully lost due to poor absorption.
  • IV nutrition also creates higher than normal blood levels of specified nutrients, which have been shown in the scientific literature to be effective in the treatment of certain conditions.

What types of IV therapy are offered?

We offer several different types of IV therapy including: Chelation, Myer’s Cocktail, High Dose Vitamin C (for Cancer and etc), Glutathione, Phosphatidylcholine (PC) Exchange and others.

What can patients expect?

A consultation will be necessary to determine if IV therapy is appropriate and to determine which nutrients are needed. Upon approval, a series of treatments is scheduled for one or more times per week. The infusion is generally given through an IV catheter in the patient’s arm, over a period of 15 to 90 minutes. Patients sit comfortably in a reclining chair and are monitored closely by a physician and/or nurse. Chelation therapy for coronary artery disease requires typically 3 hours of infusion time to be most effective and safe.

Are there any side effects?

Potential side effects vary depending on the IV treatment given, but are minimal with most therapies. Eating and being well hydrated before IV treatments will limit the potential of experiencing side effects. Patients should bring a snack if the treatment is expected to last longer than an hour.
